Boys Wrestling & Grappling at Tayibah is designed to provide young boys with an opportunity to engage in a sport that is not only physically rewarding but also deeply rooted in the Islamic tradition. Wrestling is a Sunnah, encouraged by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who himself participated in and promoted physical strength and fitness. The program emphasizes both physical development and Islamic values, ensuring that boys build strength, discipline, and confidence in a fun and relaxed environment. Training takes place inside a Masjid, where students can strengthen their bodies while being reminded of their spiritual responsibilities.
The importance of physical strength in Islam is highlighted by the hadith where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, while there is good in both” (Sahih Muslim). This program aims to embody this teaching, nurturing young boys to become strong in both body and faith. Instructors create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, making it an ideal environment for young boys to grow physically and spiritually.
